Rene was the 19th Century version of a pop star - or a fashion designer like Jean-Paul Gaultier.
He made his own revolution in design of Jewellery and Glass.
His work excited people so much that theypassed him on quicker than a viral news article.
Delightful and erotic pieces were made for mistresses and eventually Crowned heads of Europe.
Nowadays his work sells for $$$$1000s and mainly gets snapped up by museums.
